Data Dive #63: Datalogz in India this week! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

AI does not fix a broken analytics foundation. It inherits it and then amplifies it.

Data Dive #63: Datalogz in India this week! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

Analytics leaders no longer trust their own numbers. Across nearly a million BI assets Datalogz manages, assets are growing 77% year-over-year, yet 79% of reports go unused, dataset reuse sits at just 14%, and a third of reports still run on flat files, Excel, or CSVs.

AI doesn't fix that. It scales it, which is exactly what Datalogz's State of AI in BI 2026 report found: most enterprises now run three or more BI tools, each with its own version of the truth.

That's the conversation Datalogz is taking on the road across India this month. It opens September 18th with a 150-person data, analytics, and AI  leader dinner at Tansen in Hyderabad, hosted with TechVedika over live music and a full Mughlai spread, no slides, no booths, just a panel on building AI initiatives on data people actually trust. This event is 3x the size of last yearโ€™s Hyderabad event due to overwhelming demand!

It continues September 21 to 22 in Mumbai, where Datalogz exhibits at Gartner Data & Analytics Summit India and Founder & CEO Logan Havern joins a Fortune 100 CPG customer for "Analytics Sprawl to Self-driving Insights," walking through what it takes to move from fractured reporting to governed decisions.

The roadshow wraps September 23 to 24 in Bengaluru, taking the same conversation to the city's data leaders directly and meeting customers on the ground!

๐Ÿšง The Fourteen-Day Problem

Fabric's Capacity Metrics App gives you fourteen days of history and no way to get more back. Our recent technical whitepaper explains why that window (and the way Fabric reports usage) makes capacity planning harder than it should be, and what it actually takes to turn that data into a number your budget owner can act on.

๐Ÿค– Cyber Guardrails for the AI Era, Recapped

Offensive AI isn't slowing down, and neither is the conversation about how to defend against it. Last week in DC, Logan Havern, Founder & CEO of Datalogz, joined Kendall Moore, CTO of Sicura, and Miles Parry, CEO of MPCH, for a panel moderated by Guy Filippelli, Managing Partner of Squadra Ventures, on why whack-a-mole security no longer holds up against agentic attackers.

The throughline: data, development, and security can't operate as separate systems anymore. Catching issues at build time, not after, is the only way to keep pace with attackers who are automating discovery at scale.
